ATALANTA BLOCK LOOKMAN’S €45M MOVE TO INTER MILAN, DEMAND HIGHER FEE
Ademola Lookman’s Move to Inter Milan Stalls as Atalanta Demand Higher Fee
Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman is pushing for a summer move away from Atalanta, but the Serie A side is holding firm on their valuation, putting a potential transfer to Inter Milan on hold.
Lookman, who played a crucial role for Atalanta last season and impressed with Nigeria at the Africa Cup of Nations, has reportedly informed the club once again of his desire to leave. His camp communicated this intention on Tuesday, shortly after Inter Milan submitted an offer worth €42 million plus €3 million in add-ons.
However, Atalanta are not satisfied with the proposal. According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the club is holding out for a €50 million price tag and has yet to give the green light for negotiations to proceed.
The stalled move has left fans eagerly watching developments as Inter Milan remains keen on strengthening their squad ahead of the new season.
Meanwhile, on the international front, Lookman’s Super Eagles teammate Victor Osimhen is expected to arrive in Istanbul on Wednesday ahead of his medical with Galatasaray, scheduled for Thursday.
In a related twist, Spanish striker Álvaro Morata, currently at Galatasaray, has reportedly held off training as he awaits Osimhen’s arrival. Morata is said to be eyeing a return to Italy, with Como as his preferred destination.
As the transfer window heats up, all eyes are on whether Atalanta will soften their stance or risk keeping a player who’s eager for a new challenge
