Nollywood actress Omobolarinde Akinyanju, popularly known as Ashabi, is celebrating her birthday today. Sharing photos of herself in white on Instagram, the mother of two expressed gratitude to God for the gift of life, acknowledging that things could have been worse, but God made them better.

In her post, Ashabi prayed for peace, comfort, and prosperity, asking God that she may not lack good things or experience sorrow and bitter tears. She wrote:
"Finally, it’s my birthday. Happy blessed birthday to me. Thank God for the gift of life. It could be worse, but it chose to be better. Alhamdulillah. May this new age of mine bring much peace, comfort, wealth, and fame. May I not lack good things in life, may I not mourn or cry bitterly."

Friends and fans joined in the birthday wishes. Toyosi Adesanya wrote, “Happy birthday, dear. Age gracefully as you add another year,” while Olayinka Solomon and Mustapha Sholagbade also extended their greetings.

Earlier, Ashabi shared photos of herself dressed dramatically, reflecting how life challenged her in her late 20s, but emphasizing that God had a different plan for her. Speaking candidly about her love life, she described Portable as a narcissist with unpredictable moods, particularly noting his jealousy and anger issues. She revealed that managing him is a daily thought for her.

As she counted down to her birthday, Ashabi stated she had no regrets, only lessons to learn, and affirmed that she was leaving her future in God’s hands. She also addressed critics, urging them to allow her space and independence in making her own decisions.

In a separate post during her birthday countdown, Ashabi posed in a pink dress, reflecting on her Capricorn nature, noting that she often takes bold steps even when scared, broke, or unsure, and prays to find genuine happiness.

Last year, the actress shared that she could not afford to fail, given the lifestyle she desires, and prayed that her efforts would not be in vain. She also confronted a troll who labeled her a babymama, using the opportunity to update them on her health and dismiss their claim.
