ARMY WARNS AGAINST FAKE RECRUITMENT NOTICE

The Nigerian Army has warned Nigerians against a fake recruitment publication circulating online, claiming that applications for the 92 Regular Recruitment Intake have commenced.

The Army described the publication as false and urged members of the public to disregard it. The warning was contained in a statement signed by the Acting Assistant Director, Army Public Relations, Directorate of Recruitment, Captain AU Hammanga.

The Army said it has an established process for announcing recruitment exercises and would officially inform the public when the application portal for the 92 Regular Recruitment Intake is opened.

It advised prospective applicants to rely only on verified Nigerian Army communication channels for recruitment information and avoid acting on unconfirmed notices shared on social media.

The warning comes amid concerns that fraudulent recruitment advertisements could be used to deceive job seekers and collect money from unsuspecting applicants.

The Army reaffirmed that its recruitment exercises are conducted transparently and professionally.

It also urged Nigerians to verify recruitment announcements before submitting personal information or making any payments to individuals claiming to represent the Army.

The public was advised to disregard the current publication until an official announcement is made regarding the commencement of the 92 Regular Recruitment Intake.
