ARMY RESCUES TWO KIDNAP VICTIMS, KILLS FOUR BANDITS IN BENUE AND TARABA
Troops of the Nigerian Army have rescued two kidnapped victims and killed four suspected bandits during coordinated operations in Benue and Taraba.
According to military sources, the operations were carried out as part of ongoing counter-kidnapping and anti-banditry efforts in the North-Central and North-East regions.
The rescued victims were reportedly freed during clearance operations, while the armed suspects were neutralised following a gun duel with troops.
Security officials said the operations also led to the recovery of weapons and other items believed to be used by the criminal groups.
The Nigerian Army stated that its troops remain committed to sustained offensives aimed at dismantling criminal networks and restoring peace in affected communities.
Residents in the affected areas have been urged to continue providing credible intelligence to support ongoing security operations.
The military added that follow-up operations are ongoing to track fleeing members of the criminal groups.
