The Nigerian Army College of Logistics and Management, Ojo, Lagos, has warned members of the public against a fraudulent online advertisement promoting an alleged international research conference purportedly scheduled to take place at the institution. The programme, identified as the “Highstone Global University USA International Research Conference,” was presented in the advertisement as an event connected to the Army College.

In a statement issued on September 22, 2026, the college described the advertisement as false and fraudulent, stressing that it had no relationship with the organisers of the purported conference. The institution said it had neither approved nor authorised the programme and urged Nigerians to completely disregard any information suggesting that the event had its backing or involvement.

The Public Relations Officer of the college, Major Innocent Audu, said NACOLM had no affiliation, partnership, endorsement or other form of involvement with the programme. He stated that no conference of that nature had been approved to hold at the college, warning members of the public against responding to any requests associated with the advertisement.

The college specifically advised Nigerians not to make payments or release personal information to individuals or organisations promoting the purported conference. It said it remained committed to protecting the integrity of its name, facilities and official engagements, adding that legitimate programmes involving the institution would always be announced through recognised official channels of the college and the Nigerian Army.

NACOLM further urged members of the public to remain vigilant and report suspicious requests or attempts to solicit money or personal details in connection with the fake event to the appropriate authorities. The college reiterated that Nigerians should rely only on its recognised communication platforms and official Nigerian Army channels when seeking information about conferences, programmes or other activities involving the institution.
