ARMED ROBBERY IN IBADAN LEAVES THREE INJURED AS VALUABLES ARE STOLEN
At least three individuals sustained injuries during an armed robbery that took place on Wednesday morning in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State.
The incident occurred around 11:30 a.m. in the Mokola area, where a group of armed men reportedly invaded a shop.
Eyewitnesses stated that the victims were about to enter the store to buy goods intended for resale when the attackers struck. The robbers made away with an undisclosed amount of money during the operation.
The injured victims were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The Public Relations Officer of the Oyo State Police Command, Adewale Osifeso, confirmed the incident and noted that investigations are already underway.
"Good evening Sir. Investigation has commenced. Updates would be communicated accordingly, please," Osifeso responded when contacted.
Further developments are expected as the police continue to probe the robbery.
