ARISE NEWS ANCHOR SOMTOCHUKWU MADUAGWU TRAGICALLY KILLED IN ABUJA ROBBERY
The management of Arise News has announced the tragic death of one of its rising stars, Somtochukwu Christelle Maduagwu, who was killed during a robbery at her residence in Katampe, Abuja.
Somtochukwu, aged 29, reportedly passed away in the early hours of Monday, September 29, 2025, after armed robbers invaded her home.

Born December 26, 1995, Somtochukwu was celebrated not only as a skilled news anchor and producer but also as a lawyer. Colleagues described her as a professional, vibrant, and supportive team player who brought energy and depth to her work.
The management extended condolences to her family, friends, and loved ones, pledging to honor her memory while calling for a speedy investigation, apprehension, and prosecution of the culprits.
