Arigo Technologies International Ltd has launched MyArigo, a digital marketplace designed to improve consumer trust and reduce online scams in Africa’s growing e-commerce market.

The platform connects consumers with verified businesses, allowing legitimate enterprises to build their online presence while giving customers greater confidence when shopping digitally.

The launch comes amid concerns over online fraud, counterfeit products, and unverified vendors, which continue to affect consumer confidence and the wider adoption of digital commerce across the continent.

A technology analyst at Arigo Technologies, Kolawole Badekale, said trust, transparency, and credible participation would be important to the continued growth of Africa’s digital economy.

He noted that verifying businesses could help address concerns about authenticity and make online transactions more reliable for consumers.

MyArigo incorporates a business verification process through which legitimate enterprises can establish their digital profiles, reach potential customers, and expand their market access.

The company has also introduced a Business Growth Development Programme, which allows participants to support the onboarding of verified businesses while earning commissions and performance incentives.

According to the company, the initiative is intended to create a digital commerce ecosystem that combines consumer protection with opportunities for verified African businesses to grow.

The platform's launch comes as smartphone use and internet access continue to expand across Africa, creating new opportunities for online businesses and digital marketplaces.
