APPLE BRINGS TV STREAMING SERVICE TO NIGERIA THROUGH ICLOUD+

Apple has expanded its streaming and gaming services to Nigeria, with Apple TV and Apple Arcade now available to Nigerian users through iCloud+. The development forms part of the company’s expansion of the two services to more than 100 additional countries and regions.

Under the new arrangement, Nigerian subscribers to iCloud+ will have access to Apple TV and Apple Arcade as part of their subscription, without paying separate fees for the two services. The move gives users the opportunity to combine cloud storage, video streaming and gaming under one monthly subscription.

Apple said iCloud+ subscriptions in Nigeria start at N1,300 per month for 50GB of storage, while larger storage plans are available at higher prices. The company also allows subscribers to share their iCloud+ benefits with up to five other family members through Family Sharing.

Apple TV will provide Nigerian viewers with access to the company’s original films, series and documentaries, including productions such as Ted Lasso, Severance and The Studio. The service will also feature new programmes as they are released, although the availability of some content may vary depending on location.

The expansion also means Apple TV and Apple Arcade will no longer be offered as separate subscriptions in Nigeria, with users instead accessing both services through iCloud+. Apple’s move marks a significant expansion of its entertainment services in the Nigerian market and gives local users wider access to the company’s growing catalogue of streaming and gaming content.
