APC WOMEN TARGET 40 MILLION VOTES FOR TINUBU IN 2027

The women’s mobilisation directorate of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council has set a target of 40 million votes from women for President Bola Tinubu and Vice-President Kashim Shettima in the 2027 presidential election.

The target was disclosed by the directorate’s Director, Betta Edu, ahead of a women’s mobilisation and empowerment summit in Abuja.

The event is expected to bring together more than 20,000 women, including political stakeholders, entrepreneurs, professionals, community representatives and grassroots organisers.

Edu said the mobilisation structure was being expanded across the country as the APC prepares for the 2027 election.

The summit is themed “Renewed Hope Agenda 2.0: From Reforms to Prosperity” and is focused on political participation, mobilisation and the government’s programmes as presented by the party.

The women’s directorate said its grassroots network would be used to increase participation and support for the APC’s presidential ticket.

The development comes as political parties and support groups intensify their mobilisation activities ahead of the 2027 general elections.
