APC RELEASES TIMETABLE, FEES FOR 2026 OSUN GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially released its timetable and schedule of activities for the 2026 Osun State governorship election, setting the stage for aspirants and party members ahead of the primaries.
In a statement signed by the National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Argungu, the process will kick off on Friday, October 3, 2025, with a formal notice of election to the state chapter. This will be followed by an update of the membership register across Osun State from October 20 to October 31, 2025.
Who Can Participate?
Only members whose names appear in the updated register and who have been financially active with their dues for at least one year (up to February 2025) will be eligible to contest or vote.
Forms and Fees
The sale of Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms will begin on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, and close on Monday, December 1, 2025.
The cost of forms is as follows:
Expression of Interest Form – ₦10 million
Nomination Form – ₦40 million
Total for Governorship Forms – ₦50 million
Delegate Form – ₦5,000
To encourage inclusivity, the APC announced concessions:
Women and Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) will pay only for the Expression of Interest Form, while the Nomination Form will be free.
Youths (25–40 years) will receive a 50% discount on the Nomination Form.
Forms will be available for purchase at the APC Directorate of Organization, National Headquarters, Wuse II, Abuja.
Delegate Elections and Primaries
Only financial members with at least three months of active membership before the congress will be allowed to take part in electing delegates, with dues set at ₦200 per month.
The timetable also outlines screening of aspirants, publication of results, appeal hearings, and the governorship primary itself. A special congress will then ratify the primary results in line with the Electoral Act 2022 (as amended).
