APC PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN DG SENATOR YARI VISITS MONARCHS IN KWARA AND OSUN STATES TO SEEK ROYAL BLESSINGS AHEAD OF 2027 CAMPAIGN LAUNCH

High-powered delegation of former governors, lawmakers, and party executives consults the Emir of Ilorin and the Ooni of Ife to foster political stability and secure traditional support

The Director-General of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, has led a delegation of senior party leaders to seek royal blessings from traditional rulers in Kwara and Osun states ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The consultative delegation visited the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, and the Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, as part of nationwide engagement tours preceding the official launch of the party's presidential campaign scheduled for October 24 in Kaduna State.

Speaking during the royal visits, Senator Yari highlighted the economic and infrastructure achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration, expressing confidence that the governing party will secure a decisive victory based on its track record of governance reforms.

The campaign council emphasized that traditional institutions remain critical pillars for national cohesion, political harmony, and peaceful electoral processes, assuring traditional rulers that the party will prioritize inclusive stakeholder engagement across all geopolitical zones.

The high-powered APC delegation included prominent party chieftains, such as APC National Secretary Senator Ajibola Basiru, former party National Chairman Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, former Speakers of the House of Representatives Aminu Bello Masari and Dimeji Bankole, alongside several former state governors.

Receiving the delegation, the royal fathers offered prayers for peace and national unity during the upcoming electoral cycle, urging political leaders to prioritize citizen welfare, political tolerance, and socio-economic stability.
