APC PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN COUNCIL VISITS OLUBADAN AND ALAAFIN OF OYO TO SEEK ROYAL BLESSINGS AHEAD OF 2027 GENERAL ELECTIONS

High-powered delegation led by Senator Abdulaziz Yari pays courtesy visits to premier traditional stools in Oyo State, expressing confidence in President Tinubu’s administration record and economic reforms

A high-powered delegation from the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council has paid advocacy visits to the palaces of the Olubadan of Ibadanland and the Alaafin of Oyo to seek royal blessings and traditional endorsement ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

The delegation, led by the Director-General of the campaign council and former Zamfara State Governor, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, comprised former state governors, federal lawmakers, ministers, and party leaders who converged on Oyo State as part of nationwide consultative engagements.

Speaking during the court visits, Yari highlighted that the ruling party intends to base its upcoming re-election campaign on the performance, economic reforms, and infrastructural achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over his initial three-and-a-half years in office.

The campaign leadership noted that economic policies and national infrastructure projects across all six geopolitical zones are yielding measurable progress, asserting that traditional institutions play a critical role in guiding grassroots communities toward sustainable national development.

In their respective remarks, the royal fathers expressed gratitude for the courtesy visit, offered prayers for peaceful electoral processes, and commended ongoing federal interventions aimed at expanding educational access, social welfare, and economic stability across Southwestern states.

The campaign council reaffirmed its commitment to continuing structured engagement with traditional rulers and regional stakeholders, emphasizing that deep-rooted consultations remain central to political stability and democratic consolidation.
