APC LAWMAKER LAUNCHES FRESH MOVEMENT TO BOOST TINUBU’S 2027 RE-ELECTION BID
The Deputy Spokesman of the House of Representatives, Philip Agbese, has launched a new mobilisation group aimed at supporting President Bola Tinubu’s bid for a second term in the 2027 presidential election. The initiative is expected to bring together supporters and political stakeholders to promote the President’s administration and strengthen support for the All Progressives Congress ahead of the polls.
Agbese, who represents Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadibo Federal Constituency of Benue State, said the group would focus on mobilising Nigerians around what he described as the achievements of the Tinubu administration. He indicated that the movement would work to communicate the government’s policies and programmes to citizens while encouraging greater participation in the political process.
The lawmaker’s move comes as political activities begin to intensify ahead of the 2027 elections, with supporters of the President establishing various platforms to promote his re-election. Tinubu’s backers have continued to highlight reforms in the economy, infrastructure and other sectors, arguing that the administration requires more time to consolidate its policies.
The mobilisation group is also expected to extend its activities beyond party structures by engaging community leaders, youth groups, professionals and other interest groups. Its supporters are expected to use grassroots mobilisation and public engagement to build support for Tinubu and explain the administration’s agenda to voters ahead of the election.
Agbese’s initiative adds to the growing number of political groups emerging ahead of 2027 as parties and politicians position themselves for the presidential contest. With the election still months away, the increasing mobilisation around Tinubu signals that his supporters are already laying the groundwork for a nationwide campaign focused on securing a second term for the President.
