APC FIRES BACK AT ATIKU, SAYS TINUBU’S PLATEAU VISIT WAS AN ACT OF COMPASSION, NOT POLITICS
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State has hit back at former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar over his comments on President Bola Tinubu’s visit to Plateau State, describing Atiku’s remarks as politically motivated propaganda.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the party’s Publicity Secretary, Seye Oladejo, said President Tinubu’s visit to the state was purely an expression of compassion and solidarity with a bereaved family, not a political move.
“Only a person blinded by political bitterness would seek to twist such a solemn event for propaganda purposes,” Oladejo stated.
He emphasized that the Tinubu administration has shown a genuine commitment to tackling insecurity by boosting security institutions, prioritizing intelligence-led operations, and strengthening cooperation among security agencies.
Oladejo added that the federal government is already making visible progress in restoring peace to conflict-prone regions, urging Atiku to avoid politicizing national issues and instead support efforts that promote unity and development across the country.
