APC CONFIRMS ENGAGEMENT WITH WIKE TO END RIVERS CRISIS
Ajibola Basiru, the National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has disclosed that the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, is being engaged to help resolve the ongoing political crisis in Rivers State.
Basiru made the revelation on Thursday during an interview on TVC News, acknowledging Wike as a key stakeholder in the current administration.
He explained that Wike’s involvement is crucial because the political stability of Rivers State is vital to the success of President Bola Tinubu.
“Wike is an avowed supporter of President Tinubu, even though he is not a member of the APC. As someone invested in the success of President Bola Tinubu, Rivers State is critical for that success. He is being engaged to resolve the political crisis in Rivers State,” Basiru said.
The political tension in Rivers State involves Wike and his estranged political ally, Siminalayi Fubara, who have been at odds over the state’s political structure.
