Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has spoken up about her brief involvement in a trending group chat linked to the late singer Mohbad, whose controversial death in September 2023 continues to stir public debate.

Taking to her Instagram page, Angela addressed the speculation, explaining that she was added to the group without her prior knowledge and left immediately after realizing it didn’t align with her values or intentions.

“I was added to that group by someone I know, but the moment I saw it wasn’t about me or what I stand for, I left immediately,” she said.

Angela, known for her no-nonsense attitude, made it clear that she has no interest in online drama. Instead, she prefers to focus on her personal growth and professional commitments.

“Everyone knows I love and respect Aunty Iyabo [Ojo]. Anything she invites me to, I go. People also know I’ve supported Naira Marley before, and during the Mohbad issue, I got dragged a lot,” she added.

She revealed that the person who added her to the group chat later apologized for over an hour, acknowledging it was a mistake.

Angela also called for an end to the online hatred and urged Nigerians to stay focused on what really matters—getting justice for Mohbad.

“You guys should stop all this hatred. Whatever is going on, I believe we’ll resolve it. Any human being with a conscience will want justice for Mohbad,” she said firmly.

With emotions still high around the singer’s death, Angela’s statement serves as a reminder for the public to avoid distractions and remain focused on seeking truth and accountability.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
