ANAMBRA SECURITY OUTFIT KILLS THREE GUNMEN AFTER ATTACK ON SOLUDO AIDE’S CONVOY
A security outfit in Anambra State has killed three suspected gunmen following an attack on the convoy of an aide to Governor Charles Soludo.
Security sources said the incident occurred when the armed men ambushed the convoy, leading to a brief exchange of fire with operatives attached to the security team.
According to officials, the operatives responded swiftly, repelling the attack and neutralising three of the assailants during the confrontation.
The convoy was reportedly moving within the state when it came under fire, prompting an immediate security response.
Authorities said no member of the governor’s entourage was confirmed dead in the attack, while efforts were ongoing to track other fleeing suspects.
The state security apparatus described the operation as part of continued efforts to combat armed criminal groups operating in parts of Anambra State.
Officials have urged residents to remain calm and report suspicious movements to security agencies to support ongoing operations.
Investigations into the attack are expected to continue as security forces intensify patrols across the affected area.
