ANAMBRA POLICE ARREST MAN WITH HUMAN BREAST, RESCUE KIDNAPPED TRUCK DRIVER
The Anambra State Police Command has apprehended a man found in possession of a freshly severed female breast, along with three other individuals linked to the abduction of a truck driver and the diversion of goods intended for delivery in Asaba, Delta State.
In a statement issued by the Command’s spokesperson, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, it was disclosed that the truck driver was rescued unharmed by police operatives during the coordinated security operations.
According to Ikenga, the arrests and rescue missions were carried out over the weekend as part of ongoing joint operations between the police and other security agencies.
One of the suspects, identified as 25-year-old Samuel Eze, was intercepted on Sunday around 3 p.m. by a joint patrol team of officers from Awada Police Station and members of the Anambra Vigilante Group along Jude Onyekwere Street in Obosi.
“He was found with a woman’s breast, which was promptly recovered and deposited at the morgue for preservation,” Ikenga stated, adding that Eze is currently undergoing interrogation as part of further investigations and prosecution.
In a separate incident on Saturday, operatives from the Rapid Response Squad, acting on credible intelligence, successfully rescued a kidnapped truck driver and recovered the vehicle carrying custard powder valued at ₦9.5 million.
Three suspects — Udegenyi Ugochukwu (38), Anayochukwu Okonkwo (47), and Good Odigili (47) — were arrested and reportedly confessed to abducting the driver, tying him up in a bush, and diverting the truckload of goods to Enugwu Ukwu instead of its intended destination in Asaba.
Ikenga reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to ensuring public safety, noting that joint patrols and surveillance involving the police, military, Civil Defence, Immigration, DSS, and the Anambra Vigilante Group are ongoing across the state.
