A support group of the All Progressives Grand Alliance known as Anambra Patriots, has commended the Anambra State governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo over the appointment of its convener, Okey Ezeobi, as the state Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure and the group’s Chairman, Ozo Damian Enekwechi as the Chief Executive Officer of Awka County Club.
The group also hailed the re-appointment of Chukwuemeka Agbata as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Anambra Information and Communications Technology Agency.
Following the appointments, members of the group rolled out drums to honour these three members, who were appointed into different positions in the government of Anambra State, while hailing them for their outstanding performances in their previous positions.
During the celebration held at its National Secretariat in the Awka Trade Centre along the Emeka Anyaoku Boulevard Awka, they passed a vote of confidence on Soludo, praising the appointments as a clear demonstration of the administration’s confidence in the capacity of young people to contribute to governance.
A prominent member of the group and traditional ruler of Umueri Ancient Kingdom in the Anambra East Local Government Area of the state, Igwe Ben Emeka, said that the members being celebrated made outstanding contributions to the growth of Anambra Patriots in particular, and Anambra State in general.
The monarch expressed confidence that the three appointees would continue to uphold the tenets of the Patriots, having been, not only staunch members, but also worthy ambassadors of the group in Anambra State and Nigeria as a whole.
The monarch commended the trio, and urged them to utilise their positions effectively for the progress of Anambra State and Nigeria in general.
Members also took their turns to praise their colleagues who were elevated by the governor, urging them to make them proud by their outstanding performances in their areas of assignments.
