ANAMBRA FIRST LADY URGES COLLECTIVE ACTION TO ERADICATE POVERTY ACROSS LOCAL COMMUNITIES
Dr. Nonye Soludo calls on corporate bodies, community leaders, and charitable organizations to partner with state poverty alleviation and empowerment initiatives
The First Lady of Anambra State, Dr. Nonye Soludo, has called for a united, multi-sectoral approach to combat poverty, social inequality, and economic hardship across communities in the state.
Speaking during a community outreach and social welfare program organized in Awka, Dr. Soludo emphasized that eradicating poverty requires collective responsibility beyond government intervention alone.
She highlighted the critical role that non-governmental organizations, religious institutions, corporate entities, and affluent individuals must play in complementing state government efforts to lift vulnerable citizens out of extreme poverty.
Dr. Soludo noted that her non-profit initiative, Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo, alongside state empowerment programs, continues to prioritize skill acquisition, grassroots healthcare access, agricultural support, and financial inclusion for women and youth.
She urged community leaders to identify genuinely indigent households and marginal groups to ensure that relief materials, training opportunities, and micro-grant schemes reach those most in need.
Reaffirming the administration's commitment to sustainable social development, the First Lady reiterated that creating self-reliant families remains the most effective long-term strategy for building a resilient, prosperous Anambra State.
