Presley Gerber, the son of American supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber, has died at the age of 27.

Gerber died on Sunday, September 20, 2026, at a rehabilitation facility, according to records from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner. His death has been confirmed by a representative of the family, while the cause of death has not been disclosed pending an autopsy.

The family has asked for privacy following his death.

Presley Walker Gerber was born on July 2, 1999, in California. He was the only son of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber and the elder brother of model and actress Kaia Gerber.

Gerber followed his mother into the fashion industry as a teenager. He signed with IMG Models at the age of 15 and made his runway debut for Moschino in 2016.

He later worked with major fashion brands including Calvin Klein, Celine, Dolce & Gabbana, Burberry, Bottega Veneta and Tommy Hilfiger. He also appeared alongside his sister Kaia as both built careers in modelling.

Gerber later became known for speaking openly about his mental health and substance-use struggles. In interviews and social media posts, he discussed his experiences and said he wanted his story to help people facing similar challenges.

His sister Kaia recently spoke publicly about his long struggle with addiction and how it had affected their family, while also describing his willingness to be open about his experiences.

Gerber also attracted public attention in 2020 after getting a “misunderstood” tattoo on his face, which he later appeared to have removed.

He was arrested for driving under the influence in 2019 and was subsequently placed on probation and ordered to complete a DUI programme and community service.

In his later years, Gerber continued sharing aspects of his recovery journey online, including discussions about mental health, medication and seeking support.

Gerber is survived by his parents, Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, and his sister, Kaia Gerber. The family has requested privacy as they mourn his death.
