ALEX IWOBI SHOCKED BY POOR HOTEL CONDITIONS IN MOROCCO AHEAD OF NIGERIA VS GABON CLASH

Super Eagles midfielder, Alex Iwobi, has sparked widespread concern after revealing the poor state of the team’s hotel in Rabat, Morocco, where Nigeria is preparing for their 2026 World Cup qualifying playoff against Gabon.

Iwobi took to social media to share a video showing the team’s accommodation, and fans were quick to express disappointment over the welfare and preparation standards of the national team. Many questioned how such conditions could be allowed just days before an important fixture.

Nigeria, who finished second behind South Africa in Group C, are now set to face Gabon in the playoff semi-final on Thursday. The winner will advance to face either DR Congo or Cameroon in the final round.

A victory in that stage would earn the team a spot in the intercontinental playoffs scheduled for March 2026, where a ticket to the FIFA World Cup in the USA, Canada, and Mexico will be up for grabs.

Iwobi’s post has since drawn attention to the broader issue of how the Super Eagles are being managed and whether the players are receiving the necessary support to perform at their best on the global stage.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
