Senator representing Kogi Central, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, has alleged that she has been stopped from travelling abroad after officials withheld her international passport.
The senator made this claim during a live broadcast on her Facebook page on Tuesday morning.
According to her, “After marking my second year in office, I decided to take a week off, but my passport has been withheld again — just like before. I have done nothing wrong, and there is no court order authorizing the seizure of my passport or restricting my travel.”
She further alleged that, during a previous incident, the officer responsible stated that the directive to hold her passport came from the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio.
