Airtel Nigeria has received two awards at the 2026 Marketing EDGE Awards, winning recognition for its corporate social responsibility efforts and innovation in the telecommunications sector.

The company received the Leadership Award in Corporate Social Responsibility and the Most Innovative Telecom Operator of the Year award at the 14th edition of the ceremony in Lagos.

Airtel’s CSR recognition was linked to its education and community programmes, including its School Adoption Programme, which has supported the renovation and upgrading of public primary schools.

The company also partners with UNICEF through the Reimagine Education programme to expand access to digital learning. In March, the Airtel Africa Foundation awarded full scholarships to 70 Nigerian undergraduates studying science, technology, engineering and mathematics-related courses.

The innovation award recognised Airtel’s investments in network capacity, products and digital services. The company has continued to expand its 4G and 5G networks while developing its broadband, fibre, data and enterprise businesses.

Airtel Nigeria also expanded its premium experience centres in August as part of efforts to improve customer access to support and services.

The company said the awards reflected its continued investment in connectivity, technology and social-impact initiatives.
