The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has assured Nigerians that it will take decisive and swift measures to safeguard students across the country, particularly in areas facing security challenges.

The commitment was made by the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, who emphasised the importance of protecting educational institutions and ensuring that students can pursue their studies without fear.

Abubakar stated that the Air Force would intensify surveillance operations, strengthen collaboration with other security agencies, and deploy necessary resources to prevent attacks on schools and protect vulnerable communities.

He noted that the safety of students remains a national priority, stressing that schools must remain safe spaces for learning and development.

The Air Chief also reaffirmed the Nigerian Air Force’s commitment to supporting ongoing security efforts aimed at combating insurgency, banditry, and other threats that have affected educational institutions in some parts of the country.

According to him, the Air Force will continue to work closely with relevant authorities and community stakeholders to ensure proactive responses to emerging threats and maintain security around schools nationwide.
