It was a day of celebration and pride at the Zone 3 Police Headquarters in Yola as the Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG), Akinwale Adeniran, decorated 22 newly promoted junior officers under his command.

The colourful ceremony, which took place at the AIG’s office, was witnessed by senior police officials, friends, family members, and well-wishers who gathered to share in the officers’ joyful moment.

The promotion, approved by the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, was described as a well-earned reward for the officers’ commitment and performance on the job.

“This promotion is not just a reward for your hard work and loyalty, it is also a call to greater responsibility,” AIG Akinwale said during the event. “As you rise in rank, remember that the expectations of the public grow with you. Stay humble, stay disciplined, and continue to uphold the honour of the Nigeria Police Force.”

He also charged the newly promoted officers to lead by example and maintain integrity in both their professional duties and personal conduct.

The event ended with photo sessions and applause, marking a memorable day in the careers of the newly decorated officers.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
