Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has described teammate Ademola Lookman as his brother, following a brief on-pitch disagreement that has since been resolved.

After Nigeria’s 2-0 quarter-final triumph over Algeria on Saturday, Osimhen spoke to Canal+ about the incident, emphasizing the bond he shares with Lookman.

“Lookman is my brother. What happened was just a misunderstanding, but you know, this is football,” Osimhen said. “There is nothing to say about my brother. We are very close on the field.”

Both players have been in excellent form during the tournament. Osimhen has contributed four goals and two assists, while Lookman has added three goals and five assists for Nigeria.
