Ademola Lookman was named Man of the Match after delivering a standout performance in the Super Eagles’ emphatic 4–0 victory over Mozambique at the AFCON 2025 finals.

The Atalanta forward stole the spotlight on Monday night in Fès, spearheading Nigeria’s dominant display against the Mambas. Lookman opened the scoring in the 20th minute and went on to provide three assists, playing a decisive role in all four goals.

The 28-year-old has now recorded three goals and five assists in just three matches in Morocco, underlining his growing influence in the tournament.

Lookman’s impressive run of form has placed him firmly in contention for the AFCON 2025 Player of the Tournament award. He previously claimed the Man of the Match honour in Nigeria’s second group-stage encounter against Tunisia.
