ADELEKE SUMMONS SECURITY CHIEFS OVER OSUN CULT KILLINGS
Osun State governor convenes emergency security council meeting following a surge in violent clashes between rival underground syndicates, demanding aggressive tactical responses across flashpoints
Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has summoned the heads of all security agencies in the state to an emergency strategic meeting following a recent spike in violent breaches and killings orchestrated by rival cult groups.
The high-level security session was convened in response to escalating tensions and fatalities recorded across parts of the state, which have threatened public safety and disrupted community harmony.
Speaking ahead of the closed-door council deliberations at the government house, Governor Adeleke expressed deep concern over the brazen activities of criminal syndicates, maintaining that his administration will not tolerate actions capable of undermining law and order.
The governor directed security commanders to put their personnel on high alert, deploy intelligence-led sweeps to identified flashpoints, and smoke out criminal elements utilizing remote areas or local forests as operational hideouts.
State security architecture has consequently been reinforced, with tactical police squads and joint security task forces ordered to launch coordinated raids aimed at apprehending fleeing perpetrators and dismantling underground networks.
While urging residents to remain calm and report suspicious movements to law enforcement authorities, the state government reiterated its zero-tolerance stance against violent criminality and assured citizens of enhanced protection across urban and rural settlements.
