ADEKUNLE GOLD SHUTS DOWN BONE MARROW TRANSPLANT RUMOUR; ACTOR JERRY WILLIAMS REPORTEDLY ARRESTED
Popular Nigerian singer, Adekunle Gold, has come out to clear the air regarding rumours that he recently underwent a bone marrow transplant.
The rumour started when a social media user on platform X (formerly Twitter) claimed the singer had the procedure to ease complications from his sickle cell condition. The user confidently stated, “Yes, he has, but since he’s had a bone marrow transplant, I don’t think it affects him that much anymore.”
Reacting to the claim, Adekunle Gold firmly denied ever having the surgery and expressed frustration over how people spread false information without any facts.
In his words, “It is how you people will just say things you don’t even know with so much confidence. No, I haven’t had a bone marrow transplant.”
Adekunle Gold has previously spoken publicly about living with sickle cell and continues to be an inspiration to many dealing with similar health challenges.
Nollywood actor Jerry Williams was reportedly arrested by the police in Delta State on Monday, July 21, 2025. Reports say he was picked up from his home with the help of an associate known as Nwafor Franklin, popularly called Izutech.
Actor Stanley Ontop raised the alarm in a video shared on social media, claiming Jerry was forcefully taken to Benin, Edo State, and that there are concerns for his safety.
Stanley further alleged that Izutech is owing film producers N2.5 million—money collected under the promise of featuring Jerry Williams in upcoming movies. He urged the public to hold Izutech accountable if anything happens to Jerry.
As of now, official details from the police have yet to be released, and fans are hoping for clarity and Jerry's safe return.
