ADEBOYE TELLS NIGERIAN GOVT: DON’T JUST KILL TERRORISTS, GO AFTER THEIR SPONSORS

Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has urged the Nigerian government to take a more comprehensive approach to fighting terrorism in the country.

Speaking at the November Holy Ghost Service at Redemption City Campground, Adeboye stressed that the war against terror cannot succeed unless those financing the violence are also brought to justice, regardless of their political influence or power.

“When giving orders to the service chiefs this time around, the President should make it clear that they are not only to eliminate the terrorists but also the sponsors, no matter how powerful they may be,” he said.

 Focus on Homegrown Solutions

Adeboye advised President Bola Tinubu to act decisively and diplomatically to halt the killings, emphasizing that Nigeria cannot afford to rely solely on foreign nations in the event of a major conflict.

He also criticized claims that the country’s security situation has improved, noting that such statements do not reflect the reality on the ground.

“I almost spoke last month when I heard the section of the President’s speech that claimed all is well. People are still being killed and displaced,” Adeboye stated.

 Unity and Peace

Beyond security, Adeboye called for unity and peaceful coexistence among Nigerians, recalling a time when Christians and Muslims lived harmoniously before politics deepened divisions.

He concluded his message with hope, urging citizens to remain prayerful and steadfast, assuring them that peace would eventually return to the country.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
