ADC DEPUTY SPOKESPERSON IN IMO SLUMPS AND DIES SUDDENLY
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Imo State is in mourning following the sudden death of its Deputy Publicity Secretary, Ugochimereze Chinedu Asuzu, who collapsed and died on Wednesday, October 1.
Confirming the news, the party’s State Publicity Secretary, MacDonald Amadi, described Asuzu’s passing as a devastating blow to the ADC family, calling him a “man of uncommon intellect, conviction, and service.”
A native of Umuma Isiaku in Ideato South Local Government Area, Asuzu was widely respected for his blend of academic excellence and grassroots political engagement. He earned degrees in Theology and Political Science and was pursuing a doctorate at the time of his death.
Before joining the ADC, Asuzu had been a notable chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). He was also remembered as a loving husband, devoted father, and mentor whose influence extended across both religious and secular spheres.
The news of his sudden passing has sent shockwaves through political and community circles in Imo State, with tributes pouring in for a man described as a beacon of knowledge and service.
