ACTRESS YEWANDE ADEKOYA OFFERS HEARTFELT PRAYERS AFTER DEATH OF COLLEAGUE ALLWELL ADEMOLA
Nollywood actress Yewande Adekoya has shared a moving prayer on Instagram following the passing of her colleague, Allwell Ademola.
In her post, Adekoya reflected on the pain, loss, and unanswered questions experienced by many in the wake of the tragedy. She asked God to console hearts, wipe away tears, and heal broken places, while renewing strength and faith. She also prayed for reassurance that God remains at work, even when life’s journey is difficult to understand.
Her full prayer read in part:
*"Dear God,
As we stand at the edge of a new year, we come with hearts that have known pain, loss, and unanswered questions. Please wipe our tears, console our hearts, and heal every place that has been broken. Where sorrow has lingered, breathe peace. Where hope has faded, restore it gently.
Renew our strength, revive our faith, and remind us that You are still at work — even when we do not understand the path we are on. Let the coming year carry Your light, Your mercy, and Your favour. Turn our mourning into joy, our fears into courage, and our waiting into testimony.
Lord, go ahead of us. Make this new year our best year so far — not just in achievements, but in peace, purpose, and closeness to You. We trust You with our hearts, our dreams, and our tomorrow. Amen."*
