Nollywood actor Taye Arimoro has called out actress Peggy Ovie and her crew members, accusing them of physically assaulting him during a movie shoot.

In a video shared on his Instagram page, Taye claimed that he was beaten up on Tuesday night while working on Peggy Ovie’s movie set. He said the altercation started after he tried to leave the location, having reportedly stayed beyond the agreed time.

According to the actor, his attempt to go home was resisted by the actress and her team, leading to a heated confrontation.

In the viral clip, Taye appeared with visible injuries on his lips and gums and alleged that his car tires were deflated to stop him from leaving the location.

“I said I want to go home, they don’t want me to go home. Guys, look at my mouth — because I said I want to go home. This woman and her people are doing the most,” he lamented in the video.

He also accused Peggy of instructing her driver to block his car, preventing him from leaving the premises.

As of the time of this report, Peggy Ovie has not issued any public statement regarding the allegations.

The incident has since sparked mixed reactions online, with many Nigerians calling for a thorough investigation into the matter and urging the film industry to uphold professionalism and respect on movie sets.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
