Veteran Nollywood actor Clem Ohameze has strongly debunked viral rumours about his health and family, describing them as false and damaging.

A Facebook user identified as Okwulora had alleged that the actor suffered a stroke and was abandoned by his sons, leaving his daughter to care for him. The post quickly spread online, sparking concern among fans.

However, in a tearful video shared on social media, Clem Ohameze dismissed the claims, stressing that he has never granted any interview suggesting such a story and pointing out that he does not even have three sons as alleged.

“The other time, it was that I was dead; now it is that I had a stroke. But who did I grant the interview to? Do I have three sons? What nonsense is this?” the visibly upset actor said.

The Nollywood star revealed that he has already taken legal action against the individual behind the post, involving the police and the Department of State Services (DSS). He described the false claims as a form of cybercrime aimed at tarnishing his image.

“I called my friend, who is a director in the DS, S and I have initiated a police case. If you want cheap popularity, go get it somewhere else because I will not allow some idiot to tarnish my image just to attract traffic to your page,” he stated.

Ohameze also shared how the rumours caused distress in his family, especially for his daughter, who came across the false report.

The actor’s emotional response has drawn sympathy from fans, many of whom condemned the spread of fake news and urged respect for celebrities’ privacy.
