Access Bank Plc has appointed Ifedayo Olaniyi Orimoloye as its Executive Director, Risk Management, following approval by the Central Bank of Nigeria.

The appointment, announced by Access Holdings, took effect on September 21, 2026.

Orimoloye brings more than 25 years of experience in risk management across financial institutions in Africa, Europe and the United States. His expertise includes enterprise risk management, capital optimisation, credit governance, regulatory compliance and strategic transformation.

Before joining Access Bank, he served as Group Chief Risk Officer of the African Development Bank, where he oversaw a portfolio exceeding $40bn.

During his time at the AfDB, Orimoloye contributed to the institution’s risk management framework and supported its continued AAA credit ratings from Moody’s Investors Service, S&P Global Ratings and Fitch Ratings.

Access Holdings Group Chairman, Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede, said Orimoloye’s experience would strengthen the bank’s risk governance and support the group’s broader value-creation strategy.

The appointment comes as Access Bank continues to expand its operations across African markets, with risk management, capital optimisation and regulatory compliance remaining key areas of focus.

Orimoloye’s new role places him in charge of the bank’s risk management function as it continues to strengthen its governance structure and support its wider strategic objectives.
