ABUJA’S TRANSFORMATION REFLECTS NIGERIA’S DEVELOPMENT — TINUBU

President Bola Tinubu has described the ongoing transformation of Nigeria’s capital city as a clear reflection of the country’s broader development agenda and commitment to building a modern, functional metropolis.

The President made the remark on Friday while inspecting key infrastructure projects in Abuja, including road expansions, housing developments, and smart city initiatives. He expressed satisfaction with the pace of work and the quality of projects being delivered across the Federal Capital Territory.

“Abuja’s transformation is a mirror of Nigeria’s development. We are building a capital city that is worthy of our great nation a city that is modern, secure, and inclusive,” Tinubu stated.

The President highlighted several ongoing projects, including the expansion of major arterial roads, the development of new districts, and the upgrading of public facilities. He noted that these interventions are aimed at improving the quality of life for residents and creating an enabling environment for business and tourism.

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Mr. Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, briefed the President on the progress of various projects and assured him of the FCT Administration’s commitment to timely delivery. “We are working round the clock to transform Abuja into a true capital that Nigerians can be proud of,” Wike said.

Residents of the Federal Capital Territory have welcomed the President’s assessment, noting visible improvements in road networks, security, and public amenities in recent months. However, some have called for more attention to be paid to affordable housing and traffic management.

The President’s visit to Abuja comes as his administration continues to push for infrastructure development across the country. He used the opportunity to reaffirm his commitment to delivering on the Renewed Hope Agenda and ensuring that every part of Nigeria benefits from good governance.
