Social media activist Vincent Otse Martins, popularly known as Verydarkman, has strongly criticised legendary fuji musician Wasiu Omogbolahan Adewale, better known as Kwam 1 the Ultimate, over his recent behaviour at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.

The controversy stems from an incident in which Kwam 1 allegedly stood in front of a plane, preventing it from moving. In a video shared on Instagram on Friday, Verydarkman expressed concern that the act put not only the singer’s life at risk but also the safety of other passengers and crew members.

“Since I respect Kwam 1 as a pioneer, leader, and music legend, the truth must be told. If this were an advanced country, he would have been detained for endangering his life and the lives of others,” he said.

Verydarkman warned that such actions could have resulted in serious accidents — including the risk of being struck by the aircraft’s propeller or forcing the pilot into a manoeuvre that might cause a collision.

He also stressed that punctuality is crucial in air travel, noting that Kwam 1’s actions may have caused delays that disrupted passengers’ important schedules.

“Some people on that flight could have been heading to life-changing opportunities or urgent medical appointments,” he said. “Standing in front of the plane was not just a breach of protocol but a violation of other passengers’ rights.”

The incident has sparked widespread discussion online, with many calling for stricter adherence to airport security and flight operation rules.
