ATIKU HAILS ADC FOR APPOINTING YOUTHS INTO TOP LEADERSHIP ROLES
Atiku Applauds ADC for Leading by Example with Youth Appointments
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has praised the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for appointing several young Nigerians into its National Working Committee (NWC), describing the move as a bold and commendable step towards real youth inclusion in national politics.
In a statement shared via his official X (formerly Twitter) account on Friday, Atiku congratulated the newly appointed young leaders and commended the ADC for not just talking about youth involvement but acting on it.
Among the newly appointed are:
Bilyaminu Duhu – Assistant National Youth Leader, North East
Jackie Wayas (@JWEZEE) – Deputy National Publicity Secretary
Hassana Dada – Assistant National Youth Leader, North Central
David Itokpa (@iamhistory_) – Deputy National Welfare Secretary
Hauwa Yusuf (@itz_hawee) – Deputy National Secretary
Atiku described their appointments as a clear example of meaningful inclusion.
“The @ADCNig is no longer just speaking about youth inclusion; it is now boldly demonstrating it in action,” he said. “The future of our youth must not be shaped in their absence.”
He further emphasized that true leadership goes beyond promises.
“This is what true leadership looks like—not just talking the talk, but walking it with purpose.”
The development has sparked positive reactions across social media, with many young Nigerians expressing hope that other political parties will follow suit by empowering youths with real leadership responsibilities.
