A 48-year-old teacher, Mr. Ezekiel Akano, has been found dead under unclear circumstances at King’s College, located on Catholic Mission Street, Lagos Island.

According to the Lagos State Police Command, the tragic discovery was made on Saturday evening. The school’s Vice Principal, Mr. Oguniyi Ayodele, reported the incident around 7:40 p.m. after staff members raised an alarm upon finding Mr. Akano's lifeless body inside one of the classrooms.

Police detectives quickly arrived at the scene, secured the area, and began a preliminary investigation. They found no visible signs of injury or violence on the body, suggesting no immediate indication of foul play.

Mr. Akano, who hailed from Oyo State, was rushed to Lagos Island Hospital, Odan, where he was sadly confirmed dead on arrival by medical personnel. His remains have been deposited at the hospital morgue, where an autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.

The Lagos Police Command has assured the public that a full investigation is ongoing to uncover what led to the teacher’s sudden and mysterious passing.
