The management of Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology, Wudil, Kano State, has expelled 34 students and suspended 13 others for one academic session over examination malpractice.

The decision came after the university’s Senate approved the report submitted by the Examinations Regulations and Irregularities Committee during its 123rd meeting held on October 9, 2025.

In a statement issued on Friday, the institution’s Head of Information, Publications, and Public Relations Unit, Abdullahi Datti, confirmed the development.

He explained that the disciplinary actions were based on the committee’s findings after a thorough investigation into various cases of examination misconduct. According to him, 34 students were expelled, 13 were rusticated for one academic session, while several others received warning letters.

Datti emphasized that the university remains steadfast in promoting academic integrity and enforcing discipline across the campus.

“The management wishes to remind all students that examination malpractice or any act of academic dishonesty will not be tolerated,” he added.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
