Former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has confirmed his intention to run in the 2027 elections.

Obi made the announcement during a conversation on X Spaces on Sunday night, emphasizing that he will not accept a role as a running mate.

“I did not gain all my experience to end up as a vice-president,” Obi said.

He added, “I am not travelling around the world to learn governance only to serve as Vice President. I know how to turn Nigeria around. I built my business from the ground up and have more experience than any other candidate, including the current President.

“Peter Obi will be on the ballot in 2027. I need your support and your prayers.”
