Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has appealed to residents of Zamfara State to join the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in a collective effort to confront the state’s growing security and economic challenges.

El-Rufai made the call while speaking to ADC supporters in Gusau on Sunday, explaining that the party is committed to advancing policies that will strengthen security, boost economic growth, and enhance food production across Zamfara.

He urged members to remain united and focused on the party’s vision, warning against internal divisions or acts of sabotage. The former governor also encouraged collaboration with youth and women’s groups to expand the party’s grassroots influence and urged eligible voters to ensure their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) are ready ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The ADC Deputy National Organising Secretary, Abubakar Atiku, described El-Rufai’s visit as a major step toward fostering stability and cooperation among party members in Zamfara.

Similarly, the state ADC Chairman, Alhaji Kabiru Garba, noted that the event brought together youths and women from all 14 local government areas, reflecting the party’s growing presence and popularity across the state.

The gathering was attended by local politicians, Islamic clerics, and community leaders.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
