The Peoples Democratic Party governorship candidate in Abia State for the 2027 election has pledged to strengthen judicial independence and improve the welfare of workers if elected.

The candidate made the commitments while outlining his plans for the state, promising to pursue policies aimed at improving governance, public service delivery and the living conditions of residents.

He said his administration would respect the independence of the judiciary and work towards ensuring that the institution operates without undue political interference.

The PDP candidate also promised to prioritise workers’ welfare through improved remuneration, better working conditions and timely payment of salaries and other entitlements.

He said a motivated workforce would be essential to delivering effective public services and implementing development programmes across the state.

The candidate further pledged to focus on economic development, infrastructure and job creation, with an emphasis on policies that would create opportunities for young people and support businesses.

He urged residents to carefully assess the programmes and track records of candidates ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
