The full list of nine African countries that have booked their places at the 2026 FIFA World Cup has been confirmed following the conclusion of the qualification rounds on Tuesday night.

Cote d’Ivoire and Senegal became the final two nations to seal their tickets after impressive victories over Kenya and Mauritania, respectively.

The Elephants defeated Kenya 3-0, with goals from Franck Kessié, Yan Diamonde, and Amad Diallo, marking their fourth World Cup appearance and their first since 2014.

Meanwhile, the Teranga Lions of Senegal cruised past Mauritania 4-0, finishing top of Group B with 24 points, just one ahead of DR Congo, who now drop into the playoffs.

They now join Ghana, Tunisia, Egypt, Morocco, South Africa, Cape Verde, and Algeria as Africa’s representatives at next year’s global showpiece.

With this, all nine African automatic qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup — to be hosted across the USA, Canada, and Mexico — are officially confirmed.
