Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has rewarded Nigeria’s Falconets with $15,000 following their emphatic victory over Rwanda on Saturday.
Makinde made the announcement during his visit to the team after the match in Ibadan.
Moses Aduku’s side triumphed 4-0 against the She-Amavubi in the second leg of their 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifier, sealing a 5-0 aggregate win.
Goals from Precious Oscar, Tumininu Adeshina, Janet Akekoromowei, and Alaba Olabiyi secured the victory for Nigeria.
With this result, the Falconets advance to the final qualifying round where they will face Senegal in February 2026. Senegal booked their place after defeating Algeria 2-0 on aggregate.
