176,000 NIGERIANS VISITED GHANA IN 2025, TOURISM OFFICIALS REVEAL

A total of 176,000 Nigerians visited Ghana in 2025, reinforcing Nigeria's position as one of the country's leading sources of international tourists.

Tourism officials said the figure reflects the strong cultural, business, and economic ties between the two West African nations, with travellers crossing borders for tourism, trade, education, and family visits.

According to industry stakeholders, improved regional connectivity, visa-free travel under the ECOWAS protocol, and expanding business opportunities have continued to drive travel between Nigeria and Ghana.

Tourism experts noted that the steady flow of Nigerian visitors contributes significantly to Ghana's hospitality, aviation, retail, and entertainment sectors, while strengthening regional integration.

They also called for deeper collaboration between both countries to promote joint tourism initiatives, improve air connectivity, and encourage investment in the travel and hospitality industries.

Officials expressed optimism that visitor numbers will continue to rise as both countries expand tourism promotion efforts and improve the overall travel experience for visitors across West Africa.
